The Walrus, Canada's most decorated magazine, is now available to U of C alumni for the special rate of $24/yr for 10 issues delivered to Canadian addresses--that's a savings of 20% off the regular rate. And if you live outside Canada but want to stay in touch with the issues of the day, a special rate is available to you, too.

The U of C boasts a family of 130,000 alumni who make remarkable contributions to the business, health, social, cultural and political life of Calgary and many other communities. While two-thirds of our alumni stay in Calgary to live and work, our alumni are found in 135 countries around the world, expanding the U of C's global reach every year.
As a U of C graduate, you are automatically a member of the Alumni Association and can enjoy all the privileges that come with it, from preferred rates for home and auto insurance, to savings on services from university partners. Other exclusive benefits include a subscription to U, our flagship magazine and ArchE, our monthly alumni e-newsletter.
Perhaps the greatest benefit of the U of C alumni family, though, is staying connected to a network of people who share a love of knowledge and a desire to see our grads succeed.
Visit us often for news on alumni benefits, our award programs, upcoming events and profiles of your peers.

Passionate About Student ClubsTrevor Sawatzky, BComm’04, says he was a bit of a junkie for student clubs while attending U of C. “I think I served in all the [Haskayne School of Business] clubs at least once,” he says. “I know I spent more time there than in class.” The 26-year-old says the experience helped him in many ways—by making contacts, building self-confidence, getting planning and budgeting experience and developing leadership skills. |
