Included in your tuition fees are the costs for your courses, the UPass, Student Health and Dental, and Students' Union levies, which pay for their services including: Volunteer Services, Student Legal Assistance, Refugee Student Program, Committee of 10,000, Access Fee, Career Services, Student Peer Assistance Bursary Fee, and Library Assistance Fee as well as The Gauntlet, NUTV, and CJSW.
The cost for books and supplies is calculated at $120 per half course. For example, if you are taking four courses, your books will cost approximately $480. You can save money on books by searching for used copies and editions at one of U of C's bookstores, The Bookstore or Bound and Copied.
Average cost is approximately $3,000 for students living at home with parents and $6,500 for students living in shared accommodation.
