Fine Arts

Introduction

The Faculty of Fine Arts provides theoretical and practical experience in the disciplines of Music, Art, Drama, and Dance. Student get involved by actually performing and creating while learning about the techniques, reasoning, and history of their field.

Students develop skills of creative expression and scholarship through each of the academic programs designed to support community leadership and research initiatives.

Where do I get advising?

Advising for the Faculty of Fine Arts is provided by FASST – Fine Arts Student Success Team. FASST offers students advising for classes, programs, progress of their degree, and much more. The FASST team is happy to help students with all of their academic questions. You can find them on the main level in Craigie Hall, D Block and contact them by email - fasst@ucalgary.ca or by phone - 403.220.5313.

Programs

General degrees and specializations are offered in each of the major departments in the Faculty of Fine Arts: Drama, Music, and Art, and the program of Dance.

Collaboration

In cooperation with Education the Faculty of Fine Arts offers five year collaborative education degrees with Drama and Art.
