Introduction

Kinesiology is a multi-disciplinary science that includes study in the areas of anatomy, biomechanics, physiology, psychomotor behaviour, and social and cultural factors.  The Faculty of Kinesiology is committed to training professionals who will have a strong foundation in the study of movement and sport health, both theoretically and practically.  Research, education and practice integrate to give students a truly unique and powerful learning experience.

The Faculty of Kinesioloy supports our society in its pursuit of health, fitness, and well being to increase our quality of life, maintaining health, reducing injury and disease.

Where do I get advising?

The Student Program Office, located at Kinesiology B 142, will give students advising for course selection to fulfill their degree or program requirements and answers general inquiries.  You can stop by their office or contact them by phone at 220.7018, and by email- knesinfo@ucalgary.ca.

Programs

The Faculty of Kinesiology offers programs in General Studies, Athletic Therapy, Biomechanics, Exercise and Healthy Physiology, Mind Sciences in Kinesiology that can lead to a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science Honours, Bachelor of Kinesiology, and Bachelor of Kinesiology Honours.  You can also obtain a Bachelor of Kinesiology in Pedagogy.

Collaborative

Working with other faculties on campus, the Faculty of Kinesiology offers combined degree programs with Dance, Haskayne School of Business, Nursing, and Education.
