Rebecca Caudill Young Readers' Book Award
Illinois School Library Media Association, Illinois Reading Council, and the Illinois Association of Teachers of English.
Established 1987 in honor of the children's writer Rebecca Caudill, a longtime resident of Urbana, Illinois. Chosen by grade 4-8 students in Illinois schools, from a list of nominees. Nominated books are chosen for their literary merit and child-appeal. They must have been published within the past 5 years, and be in print.
